PLC Courses

Post Leaving Certificate Courses (PLC's) are normally full-time one or two year programmes of education, training and work experience. Post leaving Certificate programmes are open to both young people and adults, preparing participants for employment or further education/training and develop the skills needed for specific occupations. 

Funding

Means tested grants are available for PLC's.  The VTOS payment scheme is also available on some courses.  Contact your local VEC for further details.

Progression
PLC's can also provide an alternative route to third level through the Higher Educaiton Links Scheme.  For full details of this scheme see www.fetac.ie or contact the addmissions office at the higher education insititution of your choice.
